Watching the Idol final and I'm hating every minute of it. It was obvious seven or eight weeks ago that lil' David Archuleta was going to win. The final tonight was more of a coronation than a competition. I'll agree that lil' Archu can sing but I can't imagine him crafting an album. He is a singer but I've not seen any "artist" in him. This was my complaint with last years winner Jordan Sparks. Nice girl , sings well, but then what. I guess what burns me up is that these lil" singers are getting all this attention and getting the airplay because of the celebrity they've won, but there's not much music forthcoming. Idol is a singing competition and that’s fine but I hunger for music and finding it these days is harder and harder to do.
