What's the Deal
What's the deal,
the backroom buzz,
what schemes are being hatched.
And what can I know
from my easy chair,
that I can call a fact.
I spew and pretend
all-knowing sense,
it's a practiced disposition.
Still I watch - and read,
and search for clues,
to support my suppositions.
And while I bother,
toil and strive,
to reveal the hidden ruse,
The Jesters change
the headlines,
and dispose of all the clues.
So I sit and try
to comprehend,
the game in all its glory.
I tell my tales
to put my spin,
on this neverending story.
For truth I've found
is personal,
not absolute at all.
There's my take
and as to if I'm right,
only you can make that call.
